Gettin' My Steps In

Almost two years ago, I was contacted out of the blue by an art curator Liz Graham for a well-known financial company, to do large-scale murals for a new building project that was in the works. She was impressed with my artwork that was showcased on Instagram and was looking for Texas artists to curate the halls and walls of of a brand new campus in Austin Texas. I was commissioned to do original stairwell murals for each of the 5 floors of the new building.

Each of these pieces were custom designed and created from hand-made elements, unique to my art, then converted into vector. These digital art pieces were then scaled to heights ranging from 15 ft. to 21 ft. tall. I have never seen my art this large before— seeing it in person at that magnitude was amazing!

This landing mural project was an exciting opportunity and has opened my eyes to even more large-scale and 3 dimensional ideas. I can’t wait for the next project to explore and perhaps go even bigger.
